Ronny Wayne is a passionate advocate for recovery, second chances, and community transformation. As a person in long-term recovery himself, Ronny brings deep empathy, lived experience, and unwavering dedication to his work with Building Men and Women for a Change (BMWFC). A core member of the team since day one, he has played a crucial role in shaping BMWFC’s programs and mission.
Ronny is a certified Peer Recovery Specialist in the state of Minnesota, holding a forensic endorsement that equips him to work directly with individuals impacted by the justice system. His focus is on supporting justice-involved individuals—helping them break free from cycles of addiction and incarceration through mentorship, accountability, and access to resources. He knows firsthand how challenging it can be to rebuild a life and is committed to walking alongside others on their path to healing and hope.
More than just a profession, Ronny’s work is his calling. He has built strong partnerships with recovery networks, treatment providers, and justice system professionals to ensure that those who are ready for change have a real support system behind them. His goal is always the same: to create a safe, supportive environment where people feel empowered to reclaim their lives.
In both his work and personal life, Ronny holds close the value of appreciating the present. Whether it’s a meaningful conversation with someone in recovery, a peaceful moment in nature, or a burst of shared laughter, he understands the beauty in life’s simplest joys—and reminds others to find that beauty too.
