Terry Parham
Executive Director & Founder
Terry Parham is the Executive Director and founder of Building Men and Women for a Change (BMWC), a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting at-risk youth and families through holistic, community-centered programs. A passionate advocate for change, Terry established BMWC to create a safe and empowering space where individuals can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Raised in the Twin Cities, Terry overcame significant challenges that shaped his resilience and ignited a lifelong commitment to serving others. He credits much of his personal growth to the support of local community centers like the MLK Center, Inner Boys Club, Frogtown Community Center, and Jimmy Lee Rec Center in Saint Paul. These early experiences inspired his belief in the power of community spaces to change lives—and laid the foundation for his future in youth mentorship and community leadership.
Terry stepped into leadership at just 14 years old, managing the recreational gym at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Saint Paul. Since then, he’s continued to invest in his personal and professional growth—studying Accounting at Saint Cloud Technical College and later pursuing CNC Machine Tool Technology at Lake Superior College. He has worked as a union roofer since 2007 and is also the proud owner of T and M Auto World, an auto detailing business he launched in 2021.
With a unique background that blends skilled trades, small business ownership, and nonprofit leadership, Terry brings a well-rounded and practical approach to community development. Under his leadership, BMWC is poised to make a lasting impact in Hibbing and beyond, with programs focused on education, wellness, vocational training, cultural arts, and athletics. His grassroots approach ensures that every initiative reflects the voices and needs of the community it serves.
Terry is also the author of Building Men and Women for a Change: Changing the Culture—a powerful manuscript that outlines his vision for transformation, empowerment, and community unity.
